OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic partner of the executive team and helps the CEO achieve the organizations vision, goals, and objectives.
The CFO is an effective, relationship building leader responsible for directing the financial functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with EMCORs accounting policies, procedures, and practices.
The CFO is also accountable for the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Company assets and report accurate financial results.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following.

Possess and perform with an executive level knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, and operational functions of the organization, and support the CEO and senior leadership team in achieving the organizations vision, goals, and objectives.
Lead the accounting department in developing the processes/procedures necessary to ensure regulatory compliance, proper records maintenance, and adequate accounting controls in support of Company operations.
Prepare for and participate in monthly project reviews with CEO, President, VP, and project managers to evaluate job performance, assess risks and develop action plans.
Support operations in managing cash flow on projects, including developing and implementing a credit and collections policy and change order management.
Function as an advisor to the CEO and President on financial aspects of various contracts.
Collaborate with peers and employees to leverage shared knowledge among departments and sister companies.
Motivate and advance the accounting department to ensure alignment with the Companys operational vision and able to empower direct reports to perform at even higher levels.
Instill an attitude of service in the finance organization.
Practice and promote EMCOR and Gastons Code of Ethics/Core Values, Leading with Character in conducting business - both internally and externally.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe CFO is responsible for managing, directing, and leading the accounting department, which includes Payroll and IT.

Position Requirements/Preferred Skills, Education and Experience MBA in accounting/finance, or related academic discipline is strongly preferred, and 10-15 years professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance for an organization with $100M in revenue; or Bachelors degree required in accounting/finance, or related academic discipline, and 15-20 years professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance for an organization with $100M in revenue.
CPA accreditation and Viewpoint Spectrum experience preferred.
Qualified candidate will possess industry and/or local market experience, especially commercial construction projects such as hospitals, high rise and university work as an added plus.
Strong working knowledge of FASB, SOX, IRS, DBA, Federal and State regulations as they apply to the essential functions of this position.
Familiarity with construction contract language, including previous experience with terms and construction accounting.
Software SkillsAdvanced computer/technical skills with various accounting applications (life cycle of accounting departments).
Microsoft Office expertise, including advanced Excel skills; experience with Viewpoint Spectrum a plus.
Strong technical skills will also be helpful for oversight of the company IT department.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
