Gear Operator
o Operate various gear manufacturing equipment such as shapers, hobbers & bevel gear generators & related cutting tool sharpeners.
o Some set up experience would be a plus
o Responsible for proper operation of gear equipment; routine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, quality of parts in process, efficiency of machines in processing
o Aid in other machine shop functions as deemed necessary with in person's capabilities.
o At least 2 years operating gear equipment with some machining such as manual lathe & mill
o Strong understanding of gear Q.C. functions.
o 5 years experience in setting up and operating, some engineering education or understanding
o Tool sharpening experience would be a plus
o Able to keep several pieces of gear equipment running throughout the day
o Some heavy lifting involved and strenuous mechanical workEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
