Description
The Windows Server Administrator Lead will provide application & middleware hosting support for various Windows Server based applications under ADI Corporate IS. This team also works closely with our Data Center team that manages the infrastructure and the underlying technologies that host these applications.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide hands-on Windows Server Administration functions
Provide input to technical architecture and manage support escalations across all Corporate managed Windows Servers
Perform technical system review of third party and custom built applications
Facilitate meetings with various technical teams as well as third party vendors
Work with Data Center team to ensure system availability and performance
Manage and execute system/application standards, installation, patching, rollouts, releases and upgrades
Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to a team of WebTech Server Admins through leading by example and hands-on doing
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in deployment of IT systems, implementation and integration
Experience working with multiple project teams (business, IT application and infrastructure teams)
Excellent system, application and network troubleshooting skills using various toolsets
Strong technical understanding of multi-tier applications and system integration
Proficient in Server Operating Systems, such as Windows Server
Strong knowledge of Application/Web technologies (IIS 6/7.5, IBM
Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, etc.
Hands-on experience in creating and modifying system scripts (Powershell, PERL, etc.), automation and orchestration
Strong oral and technical documentation skills
